The DJ's Take: You know how there are generic top 40 dance songs that make you feel like anyone can roll this stuff out? This is one of them. Add in the detached-looking female with the exotic-sounding name singing the hook, and the formula is complete. A disposable track that's hot now, so if you're spinning pop for a bunch of 17-22 year old white chicks, it's probably worth a download (mix with Mike Posner's Cooler Than Me if your crowd still remembers who he is).

On a side note, Cobra Starship sounds like a cool toy I would've begged my parents to get me when I was 5.

Overall, no tectonic shifts in reader sentiment this month *makes arm motions like a robot*. But this obsession with a Jason Derulo song that was never that popular on the big charts is a little puzzling. On the positive side, it's good to know that the Derulo family is religiously reading this blog. I must be doing something right.
