dj mix/mashup: I'm Ready For Your Beautiful Flames (ft. Ed Sheeran, Sia and David Guetta)

Made with Logic Pro at 93 bpm Inspiration for this one came from re-visiting a transition in an old mix - sounded interesting, added a couple songs from this playlist , and it came together pretty quickly. Call me biased, but without DJ Cheat Sheet , I'd have a harder time getting anything going at all.

dj mix clip: i'm ready for you x flames (bryson tiller, david guetta, sia)

Made with Logic Pro at 93 bpm Simple transition - the heavy drums in Flames cut out, so we slipped in the percussion-only intro from I'm Ready For You. Fit like a hand in glove; adds a fun little trap flavor to switch up the pace and sets up the next few minutes of the mix. Listen to the full episode here: mix #78

DJ mix: session 78 ft. The Weeknd, TLC and Britney Spears

Made with Logic Pro at 93 bpm 21:55 of pop and r&b music Check out some more mixes here . This episode was made using this playlist . Tracklist (start times in parentheses): 1. Hit Me Baby One More Time - Britney Spears 2. Creep - TLC (1:54) 3. Beautiful People - Ed Sheeran, Khalid (4:29) 4. Flames - David Guetta, Sia (5:57) 5. I'm Ready For You - Bryson Tiller (8:16) 6. Somethin Tells Me - Bryson Tiller (10:41) 7. I Feel It Coming - The Weeknd, Daft Punk (13:15) 8. Out of Time - The Weeknd (15:40) 9. I Can Love You Like That - All-4-One (17:44)

dj mix/mashup: what is love x i'm good (david guetta, bebe rexha, haddaway)

Made with Logic Pro at 126 bpm Songs used: I'm Good - David Guetta, Bebe Rexha What Is Love - Haddaway I guess this is the month of I'm Good on this site? Yeah; my goal is to stretch out that $1.29 on iTunes as far as possible 🙂. Probably the closest thing to a mashup I've done so far with this track - tried to take different sections from both songs, and re-arrange them to make something different. 20 year old me would've loved that combined drop that starts halfway through; feel like it toes the line between over-the-top and club banger. I think there's more in there; maybe we'll add to this in the future. Or you can try on your own, using these two songs or other ones from our list of key and bpm-compatible dance tracks .

dj mix/mashup: hey brother; i'm good (david guetta, bebe rexha, avicii)

Made with Logic Pro at 127 bpm We made good use of that opening piano riff in I'm Good - looped it six times over that section in Hey Brother with the buildup that starts around 1:31 in and through the drop. I actually like this one a bit better than Five More Minutes and I'm Good ; nice harmonic blend with the piano and synthetic horns. Either way, we may have the beginnings of the next mix here. If it feels right, this is the list of key and bpm-compatible dance tracks we'll be filling it out with. Stay tuned.

dj mix/mashup: Five More Hours and I'm Good (ft. David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Deorro and Chris Brown)

Made with Logic Pro at 127 bpm A little strange to see I'm Good get popular - the original Eiffel 65 song came out when I was in college, and it was something you threw into the Winamp playlist and blasted at a dorm room party on a Thursday night as you did a silly dance after your sixth whiskey sour. The nice thing is you can drop that unmistakable riff over a good selection of key and bpm-compatible dance tracks . As you can see, there's a good sliver starting around 0:43-44 seconds in; it's the vocal-free riff plus full-on percussion. That'll give you a solid ~15 seconds to play with or loop a few times, like I did. If you just want the piano without the percussion, isolate the section at the very beginning.

The Cheat Sheet #12: Cardi B's Up, Save Your Tears, and more

New additions to our key- & bpm-compatible playlists for the week of February 5, 2021 djcheatsheet.com twitter.com/djcheatsheet Song downloads (amazon links): Up - Cardi B, Crooked Smile - J. Cole, TLC Save Your Tears - The Weeknd Floating Through Space - Sia, David Guetta Drive Slow - Kanye West The Zone - The Weeknd, Drake Party Monster - The Weeknd theme music: mellow drama - sterling mercury

Titanium - David Guetta ft. Sia

tempo: 126 bpm bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm The DJ's Take: Song #3 in mix 50 (3:39): Pretty epic drop; a lot of those pop edm tracks from ~2010-2012 sound similar, so it makes sense to string them together. Akon's Beautiful was a nice follow-up here - kinda like going 88 mph on the highway, then braking down to 75. Some other key-compatible music: Va Va Voom - Nicki Minaj THE SCOTTS - THE SCOTTS, Travis Scott & Kid Cudi Like I Do - David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Brooks I Need Your Love - Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding Where Have You Been - Rihanna Pumped Up Kicks - Foster The People In The Dark - DEV Pump Up The Jam - Technotronic Shots - LMFAO The Way You Move - Outkast Blame - Calvin Harris ft. Without You - David Guetta ft. Usher

tempo: 128 bpm bpm range:   125  to  130 bpm The DJ's Take:  The final song in Episode 40 (19:39): Good way to wind down a pop edm set - energetic drops and quiet interludes. The pulsing synth without the vocals is pretty mix-friendly; plenty of places to drop this in without clashing with the previous song. Some other key-compatible music: Without You - Avicii Only Girl In The World - Rihanna Yeah 3X - Chris Brown Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas Disturbia - Rihanna Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 Who's That Chick - David Guetta, Rihanna Wake Me Up - Avicii Don't Start Now - Dua Lipa Breathe - Jax Jones ft. (Pretty Yo

Who's That Chick - Rihanna and David Guetta

tempo: 128 bpm bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm The DJ’s Take: Song #4 (4:29) in Episode 40 : Kinda creeps up on you, right? Guess that's what happens when you put two heavy pop EDM tracks from the same artist back-to-back. Should keep things moving on a dance night or at a pretentious pool party. If you're between 125 to 130 bpm, try mixing with key-compatible tracks like: Don't Start Now - Dua Lipa Breathe - Jax Jones ft. Ina Wroldsen Hotel Room Service - Pitbull PYT - Michael Jackson Space Race - Sterling Mercury Freak - R3hab ft. Quintino FREE.K - Pitbull Break Through The Silence - Martin Garrix, Matisse & Sadko Children - Justin Bieber Beautiful Now - Zedd Together - Calvin Harris That High - Pitbull Noche No Termina - Pitbull Wake Me Up - Avicii Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia Starships - Nicki Minaj Without You - David Guetta ft. Usher Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 Only Girl in the Wo

Sexy Bitch - David Guetta ft. Akon

tempo: 130 bpm bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm , 130 to 135 bpm the DJ’s take: Track #3 in Episode 40 (3:07): There's often a thin line between a hit and a joke - this one could go either way. A legitimate thumper when it came out, and maybe it'll be cool again when pop turns the clock back to 2010. Worth a spin for a crowd ready to get loose at a pool party. Some other key-compatible music: Don't Start Now - Dua Lipa Breathe - Jax Jones ft. Ina Wroldsen Freak - R3hab ft. Quintino FREE.K - Pitbull Break Through The Silence - Martin Garrix, Matisse & Sadko Children - Justin Bieber Sun Is Shining - Axwell ^ Ingrosso Beautiful Now - Zedd Together - Calvin Harris That High - Pitbull Noche No Termina - Pitbull Wake Me Up - Avicii Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia P.Y.T. Flames - David Guetta & Sia

tempo: 94 bpm bpm range:   90  to  95 bpm the dj's take: Beat feels a lot like a slicker version of Adele's Water Under The Bridge (see the mix list below). Imagine if she did a collabo with Daft Punk; the internet might explode. Anyway, I think this'll become a popular playlist addition in spinning classes across the country. Has an 80s inspirational montage feel that makes you want to push it just a little bit more. Note to the NHL's Calgary Flames - maybe make this song a part of your pre-game presentation: Long list of key-compatible hits to mix with: Fancy - Iggy Azalea ft. Charlie XCX Roll Up - Wiz Khalifa Complicated - Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs. David Guetta ft. Kiiara First Time - Kygo, Ellie Goulding I Feel It Coming - The Weeknd, Daft Punk Water Under The Bridge - Adele ...Baby One More Time - Britney Spears Mellow Drama - Sterling Mercury Capsize - FRENSHIP & Emily Warren Somethin Tells Me - Bryson Tiller Why You Alwa

Like I Do - David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Brooks

tempo: 128 bpm bpm range:   125  to  130 bpm the dj's take:  When someone comes out with a 128 bpm edm track, it feels like we're channeling a bygone era. Kind of like when Bruno Mars brought back the early 90s new jack swing with Finesse. Definitely best employed in a cavernous club or festival environment. Long list of key-compatible singles to mix with: I Need Your Love - Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding Where Have You Been - Rihanna Pumped Up Kicks - Foster The People In The Dark - DEV Pump Up The Jam - Technotronic Shots - LMFAO The Way You Move - Outkast Blame - Calvin Harris ft. John Newman Thinking About You - Calvin Harris Va Va Voom - Nicki Minaj Titanium - David Guetta and Sia Turn Me On - David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj Don't Stop The Party - Black Eyed Peas Take Over Control - Afrojack ft. Eva Simons Where Them Girls At - David Guetta ft. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj Judas - Lady Gaga Give Me Everything - Pitbull ft. Ne-Yo & Afrojack

So Far Away - Martin Garrix & David Guetta ft. Jamie Scott & Romy Dya

tempo: 74-75 bpm bpm range:   70 bpm  to  75 bpm the dj's take: Song title may as well be about how far away this is from your run-of-the-mill 128 bpm edm. Probably best employed in a festival or recorded set. Long list of key-compatible tracks to mix with: Hard To Love - Calvin Harris ft. Jessie Reyez Boys - Charli XCX Sorry Not Sorry - Demi Lovato Do What I Want - Lil Uzi Vert Biking - Frank Ocean ft. Jay-Z, Tyler The Creator Light My Body Up - David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne Changed It - Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne Heavy - Linkin Park ft. Dirty Sexy Money - David Guetta ft. Charli XCX & French Montana

tempo: 80 bpm bpm range:   75 bpm  to  80 bpm ,  80 bpm  to  85 bpm the dj's take:  This is the definitive picture of Dirty Sexy Money: Big electro trap track that should play well in a club or a bar with heavy duty speakers. Some other key-compatible singles to mix with: The Way Life Goes - Lil Uzi Vert Walk It Out - Unk Redbone - Childish Gambino Family Feud - Jay-Z ft. Beyoncé Black Widow - Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora Reaper - Sia download or stream Dirty Sexy Money: amazon itunes

Hey Mama - David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj and Afrojack

tempo: 86 bpm bpm range:   85 bpm  to  90 bpm The DJ's Take: If we're talking songs named Hey Mama, I'm partial to Kanye: That said, this is a former Top 10 hit with a big presence. Worthy of being blasted in a Top 40 set or at a sporting event. Some key-compatible tracks from 81 to 84 bpm: I'm The One - DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Chance The Rapper, Quavo Just Like Fire - Pink I Need A Girl - Trey Songz Go Hard Or Go Home - Wiz Khalifa And from 85 to 90: Bad Blood - Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift Hey Mama - David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj Not A Bad Thing - Justin Timberlake Nobody Has To Know - Kranium ft. Ty Dolla $ign Fight Song - Rachel Platten download or stream Hey Mama: apple music amazon

2U - David Guetta, Justin Bieber

tempo: 72-73 bpm bpm range:   70 bpm  to  75 bpm the dj's take:  At this point, a new Justin Bieber single is a trump card for a dj - keep it in reserve, then drop at a peak moment. The buildup lacks percussion, so expect people to stand around at times during a set. Should be a staple at his live concerts. Ultimate power move - mix or mash up with Kendrick Lamar's HUMBLE.  Two key-compatible mega-hits in a row will be your mic drop moment for the foreseeable future. Other songs worth mixing with: I Fall Apart - Post Malone Cry Me a River - Justin Timberlake Believer - Major Lazer, Showtek Everyday - A$AP Rocky ft. Rod Stewart She Knows - NeYo Whatcha Say - Jason Derulo Ridin' - Chamillionaire No Matter What - T.I. download or stream the song: amazon spotify playlist itunes

Memories - David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi

tempo: 130 bpm bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm , 130 to 135 bpm the DJ’s take: If you can love anything half as much as the dj below loves this song, consider yourself fortunate: Worth a spin in a throwback dance or electronic set. If you're staying key-compatible, try mixing with: Temperature - Sean Paul Move Your Body (Alan Walker Remix) - Sia WIEE - Martin Garrix If It Ain't Love - Jason Derulo Home - Firebeatz & Jay Hardway Sunglasses At Night - Corey Hart Shut Up and Dance - WALK THE MOON download or stream the song: amazon spotify playlist itunes
