dj mix/mashup: Five More Hours and I'm Good (ft. David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Deorro and Chris Brown)

Made with Logic Pro at 127 bpm

A little strange to see I'm Good get popular - the original Eiffel 65 song came out when I was in college, and it was something you threw into the Winamp playlist and blasted at a dorm room party on a Thursday night as you did a silly dance after your sixth whiskey sour. The nice thing is you can drop that unmistakable riff over a good selection of key and bpm-compatible dance tracks.

As you can see, there's a good sliver starting around 0:43-44 seconds in; it's the vocal-free riff plus full-on percussion. That'll give you a solid ~15 seconds to play with or loop a few times, like I did. If you just want the piano without the percussion, isolate the section at the very beginning.

tempo: 92 bpm, switches to 123 bpm halfway through bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm , 120 to 125 bpm the DJ’s take:  A unique track that changes tempo halfway through - saves a dj the effort of having to come up with an energy-accelerating transition (similar deal with Just Can't Get Enough ). Decent throwback that should work during one of your quieter Top 40 nights. tempo: 130 bpm bpm range:   125  to  130 bpm ,  130  to  135 bpm The DJ's Take:  J. Lo and Pitbull - a partnership that brought us one of the great in-concert images of the 2010s : Hey; he's only human. As for the track, a loud, thumping mega-hit when it came out. Still has value as a throwback on a dance-oriented, unpretentious Top 40 night. tempo: 70 bpm bpm range:   65 bpm  to  70 bpm ,  70 bpm  to  75 bpm the dj's take: Perfect song for an adDJ - ~100 seconds that will boom through the speakers and rile up the crowd before you move on to the next banger. If you spin hiphop, this one needs to be in the rotation for the foreseeable future. Keep in mind this morphs into a second song at around 1:50 with a bpm of 65 bpm.
