The Heart Wants What It Wants - Selena Gomez

Speed: 83 bpm Recommended bpm range: 80 bpm to 85 bpm The DJ's Take:  Saw this trending somewhere, clicked the link against my better judgment, and you know what? Even though she looks like she's 14, there's actually a mature sound here (those guitars after she says 'the heart wants what it wants' are kind of a nice touch). This is end of the night fare, but something a younger crowd will recognize - we'll see if it gets popular enough for 20-something females to start singing along. Try mixing/mashing up with Bounce - 2 Chainz ft. Lil Wayne , Gotta Lotta - 2 Chainz ft. Lil Wayne , See You Again - Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth , Love The Way You Lie - Eminem ft. Rihanna , Irreplaceable - Beyoncé , Come & Get It - Selena Gomez , and Started From The Bottom - Drake . Download the song: Amazon

Together - Calvin Harris ft. Gwen Stefani

Speed: 128 bpm The DJ's Take:  Whenever a hyped album comes out, you figure there'll be at most 3 singles that do reasonably well. Summer was possibly the most overplayed track of the summer, Blame is on the rise, Outside got some buzz, and Open Wide  is doing alright. Is there room for a fifth? Maybe - Together has the basic ingredients with its polished beat and recognizable vocals from a star on the comeback trail. At the very least, this is solid filler for the 125 to 130 bpm portion of your set. If you're staying key-compatible, try mixing with tracks like That High - Pitbull ,  Noche No Termina - Pitbull ,  Wake Me Up - Avicii ,  Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia ,  P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) ,  Gangnam Style - PSY ,  Starships - Nicki Minaj ,  Without You - David Guetta ft. Usher ,  Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan ,  Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 ,  Who's That Chick - David Guetta ft. Rihanna ,  Yeah 3X - Chris Brown ,  Only Girl in the W

Lips Are Movin - Meghan Trainor

Speed: 139 bpm The DJ's Take:  Looks like Meghan Trainor's got a monopoly on Hairspray-inspired doo woo pop. Is the follow-up to All About That Bass a hit? Maybe, although it's not quite as fun to sing the hook. Worth a flyer though, while people can still recognize her voice. If you're staying key-compatible, try double-timing over tracks like X - Chris Brown ,  Can't Hold Us - Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ,  Day N Nite - Kid Cudi  and  Big Pimpin - Jay-Z . Or if you're trying to transition down into the 130 to 135 bpm range, try blending with Feel This Moment - Pitbull . Download the song: Amazon: Lips Are Movin
