Take Back The Night - Justin Timberlake

Speed: 108 bpm The DJ's Take: Let's state the obvious - looks like the producers want to bring it back to the 70s/80s with some smoother pop R&B fit for an artist like MJ or Luther Vandross. But it's kind of a yawner; in fact, put Robin Thicke on vocals and I don't think there's much of a difference. That said, Take Back The Night's making a move up the charts, and dj's know that 65% of the time, the customer is always right. If the energy's starting to wane, blend into something like Suit & Tie or The Motto . Download the song: Amazon:

Endorphins - Sub Focus ft. Alex Clare

Speed: 140 bpm The DJ's Take: Recently, I've been trying to make this blog a little cooler by posting some songs that aren't straight college bar fodder. This qualifies, right? I hear Endorphins is big in the UK, and it should work for an EDM crowd. Backup plan - if people look at you with blank stares, try transitioning into some electro-remix of Radioactive . Big Dipper - The Cataracs ft. Luciana

Speed: 130 bpm The DJ's Take: Noticing younger folk wearing sunglasses, tanktops and flat brim baseball caps at your summer parties? Then they may be into this. Feels a lot like a generic Black Eyed Peas track with the attitude-laced female vocal in there. Brand-new, so it may take time before your crowd can sing along, but not a bad way to kill another couple minutes in a dance set. Mix with: Wake Me Up - Avicii , Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia , P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) , Gangnam Style - PSY , Starships - Nicki Minaj , Without You - David Guetta ft. Usher , Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan , Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 , Who's That Chick - David Guetta ft. Rihanna , Yeah 3X - Chris Brown , Only Girl in the World - Rihanna , Sexy Bitch - Akon , One More Time - Daft Punk , Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas , Down - Jay Sean , Disturbia , Hotel Room Service - Pitbull , Day N Nite - Kid Cudi (Crookers Remix) Download the song: Amazon:

Love More - Chris Brown ft. Nicki Minaj

Speed: 105 bpm The DJ's Take: Brand new track, and it's not bad. I think there's at least minor hit potential. Until it rises, test the waters (hiphop crowd may like it more), then lead into Mo Money Problems , Going Back to Cali , Turn Me On and/or Hip Hop Hooray in case things are cooling down. On a side note, should we call this Run It! Part II? Similar tempo and key - may work as a mini-throwback mix if you're playing for a room full of Chris Brown fans. Download the song: Amazon:
