Ball - T.I. ft. Lil Wayne

Speed: 95 bpm The DJ's Take: I seriously can't remember the last time I heard a 95 bpm track with this kind of bounce. Definitely a head-nodder and worth a spot in your rotation - a Top 40 track that doesn't sound like Top 40. If you're not spinning for a straight hiphop audience, mix recommendations include One More Night , Roll Up , and Let Me Love You . Download the song: Amazon:

Throwback Track: Candy Rain - Soul For Real

Speed: 94 bpm Recommended bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm The DJ's Take: Two throwback tracks in a row? Yes; I haven't heard anything new and interesting in awhile, so I'm taking it back to the 90s for a minute. Probably won't win you any popularity contests if you spin Top 40 for Caucasian college kids, but open-minded listeners and those who remember this track (which did hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in '95) will appreciate it. Try mixing or mashing up with tracks like: Sit Still, Look Pretty - Daya ,  Again - Fetty Wap , 679 - Fetty Wap , Style - Taylor Swift , Jealous - Nick Jonas , Diamonds From Sierra Leone - Kanye West , Good Thing (feat. Nick Jonas) - Sage the Gemini , Adorn - Miguel , Diamonds - Rihanna ,  She Ain't You - Chris Brown , Check The Rhime - A Tribe Called Quest Download the song: Amazon

Throwback Track: Check The Rhime - A Tribe Called Quest

Speed: 96 bpm Recommended bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm The DJ's Take: Classic hiphop that still feels fresh today. I'm a big fan of the album (as well as the group), and if you're looking to get educated on the genre, Low End Theory is a must-listen.
