Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen

Speed: 120 bpm The DJ's Take: I've been trying to avoid reviewing this for awhile now, but it's getting to a point where I am doing you a disservice. So let me state the obvious - if you dj at a venue where Caucasian females are, this is an absolute must-play. And you know how it is when this demographic gets a song stuck on the brain - the shelf life is surprisingly long. Anyway, long story short, download this as soon as possible if you don't have it already. And when it stops being hot, delete any evidence you ever had it in the first place. Mix with: Tonight Is The Night - Outasight Download the song: Amazon:

The BMC Top 5 for May 2012

#1 stays the same, but there was some turnover from April lower down the list: BMC Top 5 Singles for May 2012: 1. Levels - Avicii 2. Wild Ones - Flo Rida ft. Sia 3. Climax - Usher 4. Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO 5. Where Have You Been - Rihanna Top 5 BPMs for May 2012: 1. 130 bpm 2. 125 bpm 3. 120 bpm 4. 100 bpm 5. 135 bpm Couple notes to mention. First, we did have a distinct #1 and #2 in terms of singles, but it was a photo finish. And based on my own observations at local bars (haven't been to a club in awhile), pop EDM is still king by a wide margin. What else is new. Got your own ideas about what should be in the Top 5? Let's Go - Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo

Speed: 128 bpm The DJ's Take: For some reason, the buildup in this track makes me think of Sandstorm . Could it make its way up the charts? Maybe, although the key is kind of serious and Ne-Yo's never really had a dance hit where he was the featured performer. Very good workout music and dance mix filler, at the very least.
