Talk Dirty - Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz

Speed: 100 bpm The DJ's Take: Not a big fan of this. Those horns are a little much, and even though I generally don't listen to lyrics, the songwriting and rapping made me cringe a bit. That said, Talk Dirty is the #1 single in the UK according to Billboard. And I could see this being danceable in the right situation. If you're looking to get extra corny (while staying key-compatible), try mixing with something like 50 Cent's Candy Shop . Editor's Note: Yes, I was a bit off on this one - more key-compatible mix recommendations: Do What U Want - Lady Gaga , Hold On, We're Going Home - Drake , What's My Name - Rihanna , Find Your Love - Drake , and 2 On - Tinashe ft. SchoolBoy Q . Download the song:   Amazon:

Walking On Air - Katy Perry

Speed: 128 bpm The DJ's Take: Like that gymnast from the Olympics , I'm unimpressed. Not a shocker; we're already at single #3, so you're bound to lose a little momentum. I think I get it though - early 90s dance vibe affixed with the Katy Perry Seal of Approval. Worth keeping in your rotation, at least in the short-term. Try mixing with some (or all) of the following: Hey - Fais ft. Afrojack , Sweet Harmony - Dubvision , DADDY - PSY , Another You - Armin Van Buuren ft. Mr. Probz , Cool - Alesso , Get Outta My Way - Kylie Minogue , Waiting For Love - Avicii , La La La - Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith , Pompeii - Bastille , Invincible - Borgeous , Dear Boy - Avicii , I Could Be the One (Avicii vs Nicky Romero) [Nicktim - Radio Edit] - Single - Avicii & Nicky Romero , The Other Side - Jason Derulo , Alive - Krewella , Easy Love - Sigala , The Veldt - EP - deadmau5 Which song off the new Katy Perry album do you like the best? Things Can Only Get Better - Cedric Gervais & Howard Jones

Speed: 128 bpm The DJ's Take: I can only imagine what it would be like to have this blasting on your radio with the top down as you roll down the Autobahn. Probably not something to spin at a Top 40 gig (unless you feel like throwing the crowd a change up), but should generate energy in a room full of EDM fans. Try mixing with some of the following to stay key-compatible: Wake Me Up - Avicii , Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia , P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) , Gangnam Style - PSY , Starships - Nicki Minaj , Without You - David Guetta ft. Usher , Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan , Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 , Who's That Chick - David Guetta ft. Rihanna , Yeah 3X - Chris Brown , Only Girl in the World - Rihanna , Sexy Bitch - Akon , Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas , Down - Jay Sean , Disturbia , Hotel Room Service - Pitbull , Day N Nite - Kid Cudi (Crookers Remix) Download the song: Amazon:

Show Me - Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown

Speed: 98 bpm The DJ's Take: I knew I recognized that little synth riff from somewhere - song title is a dead giveaway . There's definite hit potential here. Smooth, laidback, and a nice little soundtrack as couples start to pair up and get close on the dance floor. Some suggested tracks for mixes/mashups:  Swerve - Sage the Gemini ,  Numb - August Alsina ,  Out of My Head - Lupe Fiasco , Adorn - Miguel , Somebody Else - Mario ,  She Ain't You - Chris Brown Download the song: Amazon:

All Me - Drake ft. 2 Chainz and Big Sean

Speed: 61 bpm The DJ's Take: That synthesized voice singing in the background reminds me of the opera scene from Final Fantasy 3 (yes, I played way too much Super Nintendo as a teen). Beat is smooth and simple, and the vocals are decent enough. This seems to be getting love on iTunes, so worth downloading and spinning for Drake fans excited about his new album. Unconventional mix/mashup idea - try doing some double-time with Sun Don't Shine and/or Telephone . Post what you come up with on our Facebook page - I'm curious to hear how it sounds, and it's a nice way to potentially get some exposure for yourself. Download the song: Amazon:

Somebody Else - Mario ft. Nicki Minaj

Speed: 91 bpm The DJ's Take: You know how sometimes you hear a cool song on Pandora, but you're not really paying attention to the title or artist, you forget about it for a couple months, and then it pops up again in a sidebar on YouTube? Pretty much sums this track up for me. That sample is on point , vocals are the tightest I've heard from Mario in awhile, and Nicki Minaj doesn't get in the way. I think this could've been a mainstream hit 10 years ago. Now, it's more of a niche single you play for an urban crowd that can get down to hiphop-flavored R&B. Reminds me a lot of Faith Evans & Carl Thomas' Can't Believe both key and bpm wise, although the drums hit a little harder. I think this could also go nicely with something like Adorn - Miguel if you're looking to stay a little more modern. Other potentially mixable tracks include Numb - August Alsina , Swerve - Sage the Gemini , Show Me - Kid Ink , Diamonds - Rihanna , and She A...
