Slow Acid - Calvin Harris

Speed: 104 bpm The DJ's Take:  Sounds like a harder version of Disco Science (which I remember from watching the movie Snatch ~15 years ago). It's interesting, especially considering what Calvin Harris usually makes - I could picture this playing in a dark, seedy nightclub with people dressed in Goth gear swaying to the beat. Or during a montage of robot industrial laborers assembling weapons of mass destruction in a futuristic factory. Top 40 potential? I doubt it. But this could be a cool little mix/mashup with Get Low by Lil Jon . Otherwise, probably more of a mixtape nugget you can blend with trap or something more electronic in the 100 to 105 bpm range. Jealous - Nick Jonas

Speed: 93 bpm Recommended bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm The DJ's Take:  I must be in a weird mood - covering Taylor Swift, and now one of the Jonas Brothers. But hey, it's a Top 40 song on the rise, and a twenty-something demographic will probably dig it, so that's my excuse. Sounds like a sexier version of Whataya Want from Me . Also, consider mixing or mashing up with key-compatible tracks like: Sit Still, Look Pretty - Daya ,  Again - Fetty Wap , 679 - Fetty Wap , Style - Taylor Swift , Jealous - Nick Jonas , Diamonds From Sierra Leone - Kanye West , Good Thing (feat. Nick Jonas) - Sage the Gemini , Adorn - Miguel , She Ain't You - Chris Brown ,  Candy Rain - Soul For Real , and Check The Rhime - A Tribe Called Quest Download the song: Amazon

Out Of The Woods - Taylor Swift

Speed: 92 bpm The DJ's Take:  More of a new age 80s-style synth ballad than a club banger. But this feels ripe for a remix - add a little extra percussion, and Out Of The Woods should appeal to the twenty-something female demo, which is all you really need, right? If you're staying key-compatible, try mixing with tracks like This Is How We Do - Katy Perry , Na Na - Trey Songz , Paranoid - Ty Dolla $ign , Return of the Mack - Mark Morrison , One More Chance - Notorious BIG , No Games - Serani , and Real Love - Mary J. Blige . Download the song: Amazon: 1989

Tuesday - I LOVE MAKONNEN ft. Drake

Speed: 70 bpm The DJ's Take:  Is it just me, or does this guy kind of sound like Future? Chill, end-of-the-night vibe, but just enough percussion to make it danceable. Add all that to a singalong hook, and I think this could be a legit hit. If you're doing a key-compatible mix, try blending with tracks like Bang Bang - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj , Motivation - Kelly Rowland , Young Forever - Jay-Z , and Love In This Club (feat. Young Jeezy) - Usher . Download the song: Amazon:  Tuesday (feat. Drake) [Explicit]

Born To Get Wild - Steve Aoki ft. will.i.am

Speed: 128 bpm Recommended bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm The DJ's Take: Explosive. Don't know if this'll set the floor on fire, but if people are already dancing and pumping their fists, this should stoke the flames even more. Standard fodder for a Vegas or Miami nightclub (or one of those festivals where people dress up and wave around glowsticks). To stay key-compatible, try mixing with some or all of the following: Ghost - Oliver Heldens ft. RUMORS , Lift Me Up - David Guetta , Whip It! - LunchMoney Lewis , Sweet Lovin' - Sigala , Won't Stop Rocking - R3hab & Headhunterz , Heaven - Shaun Frank & KSHMR , Poison - Martin Garrix , Love Myself - Hailee Steinfeld , Break Free - Ariana Grande ft. Zedd , Five More Hours - Deorro x Chris Brown , Five Hours - Deorro , Don't Wake Me Up - Chris Brown ,  Hideaway - Kiesza , Break Free - Ariana Grande ft. Zedd , Kanye - The Chainsmokers , Red Lights - Tiesto , Helicopter - Martin Garrix & Firebeatz , ...

Heroes (We Could Be) - Alesso ft. Tove Lo

Speed: 126 bpm The DJ's Take:  Nice uplifting track for an EDM night or festival. Although I've been hearing this on the local pop radio station too, so maybe it'll get some traction during a Top 40 night. Couple unconventional but interesting mix recommendations - Fireball - Pitbull and #SELFIE - The Chainsmokers . Download the song: Amazon: Heroes (we could be) [feat. Tove Lo]

The Days - Avicii

Speed: 127 bpm The DJ's Take: Maybe a little bland considering the source (although that little synth riff at the end almost sounds like a saxophone solo), but it's decent filler for a pop/electronic gig. If you're staying key-compatible, try mixing with tracks like Prayer In C - Lilly Wood & The Prick and Robin Schulz , Lay Me Down - Avicii , Adore You - Miley Cyrus (Cedric Gervais Remix) , Ten Feet Tall - Afrojack , Take Me - Tiesto , We Run The Night - Havana Brown ft. Pitbull , Marry The Night - Lady Gaga , Club Can't Handle Me - Flo Rida , Danza Kuduro - Don Omar , Shut It Down - Pitbull ft. Akon , F*ck You - Ceelo Green , Push It - Salt N Pepa ,  U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer , and Right Round - Flo Rida . Download the song: Amazon: The Days
