Music Review: Pump Up the Jam - Technotronic
Speed: 125 bpm
Recommended bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm
The DJ’s Take: If you play 80s music on any given night, this will either get people moving, get them laughing, or both. And none of those reactions is a bad thing, especially if you’re playing for a crowd that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I remember watching the Saturday Night Live episode with this group nearly 20 years ago (Fred Savage from the Wonder Years was the host), and even recent artists occasionally pay homage, so you know this one’s got some staying power.
