I'll House You (VIP Mix) - Don Diablo ft. Jungle Brothers

Speed: 126 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm

The DJ's Take: Maybe it's just me, but Don Diablo sounds like the name of a boxer you should be facing in the next edition of Mike Tyson's Punch Out (if I were creating the back-story, he'd be the revenge-obsessed son of this guy). The original song is cool, but probably something you should only spin at old school hiphop events. As for this one, a little loud and obnoxious for a Top 40 party in my opinion, but worth a go if you're feeling confident. Try mixing or mashing up with key-compatible tracks like:

tempo: 93 bpm bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm The DJ's Take: Song #6 in our chapter 53 mix (11:38): As we saw with the I Wonder lead-in, that percussion-only intro makes this easier to mix and to play around with. Also melts nicely into Nine Inch Nails' Closer . In fact, even though I know when the transition's coming, it still creeps up on me a bit. Still worth a spot in your prime-time pop rotation. tempo: 69 bpm, 77-78 bpm bpm range: 65 bpm to 70 bpm , 75 bpm  to  80 bpm the dj's take: The leadoff song in our Entry 23 mix: This one is like the Neopolitan ice cream of music - three flavors in one. Makes sense for the younger listeners and their shorter attention spans. And as a producer / songwriter, you can take three half-finished attempts at a single, then mash them together to make a hit.
