All Of The Lights - Kanye West ft. Rihanna, Kid Cudi & Fergie

Speed: 71 bpm

The DJ's Take: I actually heard this for the first time on the PA when I went to a basketball game at my college alma mater. Now it feels like it's gaining steam based on recent requests I've gotten for it, and with good reason. Those rapid fire fake hand drums bring back memories of that beat from Slow Jamz, and Rihanna reminds the dudes why Matt Kemp is a lucky man. Definitely worth a download and a spin.

Try mixing with Drunk in Love or Dark Horse.

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
