Question - what the hell is your fascination with Pumped Up Kicks? It's a nice song and all, but isn't it old by now? Why don't you people just follow the herd and move on to Call Me Maybe or something? Actually, never mind - that's why this blog has some of the coolest readers on the web. You like what you like. In any case, I'll deliver a bonus post today to make up for my delinquency. Hope everyone's having a good summer.

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

DJ mix: session 76 ft. Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm 17:50 of 80s and pop music (with a little hiphop) Check out some more mixes here . This episode was made using this playlist .
