Don't Stop The Party - Pitbull ft. TJR

Speed: 127 bpm

The DJ's Take: Too lazy to look it up, but I swear this track samples Funky Kingston by Toots and the Maytals. I kind of like it. Sure, it's a typical Pitbull party single, but it doesn't feel quite as boring as his other recent efforts. Anyway, judging by this video, life as a famous rapper in Miami must be pretty tough. Maybe mix with Turn All The Lights On if you're looking for something in a compatible key.

Other tracks worth mixing in include Booyah - Showtek, You Make Me - Avicii, On The Floor - Jennifer Lopez ft. PitbullGive It 2 U - Robin ThickeLive For The Night - KrewellaRight Now - Rihanna and David Guetta, We Found Love - Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris, S&M - Rihanna, Sweet Nothing - Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch, Bulletproof - La RouxLow - Flo RidaCalabria - Enur, Back To The Pump - Benny Benassi

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
