The Other Side - Jason Derulo

Speed: 128 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm

The DJ's Take: This is like a really loud version of deadmau5's The Veldt. If you're looking to integrate into a Top 40 mix, blending in Krewella's Alive should work. Been on constant rotation on my local radio station, so consider getting it on your summer playlist.

Try mixing with tracks like:

Hey - Fais ft. Afrojack, Sweet Harmony - Dubvision, DADDY - PSY, Another You - Armin Van Buuren ft. Mr. Probz, Cool - Alesso, Get Outta My Way - Kylie Minogue, Waiting For Love - Avicii, La La La - Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith, Pompeii - Bastille, Invincible - Borgeous, Dear Boy - Avicii, I Could Be the One (Avicii vs Nicky Romero) [Nicktim - Radio Edit] - Single - Avicii & Nicky Romero, The Other Side - Jason Derulo, Easy Love - Sigala

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
