Elastic Heart - Sia

Speed: 65 bpm

The DJ's Take: I'm guessing a lot of the buzz is about that video - I'd analyze it myself, but that level of 'art' is beyond me. Cool production on the track though; could easily be the instrumental for a modern hiphop banger (would be funny if the remix featured Two Chainz periodically yelling his name). Try mixing/mashing up with tracks like Pop That - French Montana and Pour It Up - Rihanna.

Slow down a couple bpm's and you can also double-time mix/mashup with I Lived - OneRepublic.

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
