Don't - Bryson Tiller

Speed: 48.5 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 45 bpm to 50 bpm

The DJ's Take: I kind of like the low-key reference to Shake It Off; hard to believe that song's already 10 years old. Nice track to play at the end of the night when you're telling the crowd 'you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.'

This could make a cool little mood-appropriate mashup with Same Old Love - Selena Gomez. Other tracks you may want to half-time into include What's The Difference - Dr. Dre, Nuthin' But A G Thang - Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg, Diamonds from Sierra Leone (Remix) [feat. Jay-Z] - Kanye West, Diamonds - Rihanna, Again - Fetty Wap, 679 - Fetty Wap, Style - Taylor Swift, Jealous - Nick Jonas, Good Thing (feat. Nick Jonas) - Sage the Gemini, Candy Rain - Soul For Real, and Check The Rhime - A Tribe Called Quest.

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
