Be Right There - Diplo & Sleepy Tom

Speed: 125 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm

The DJ's Take: For those who don't remember, the lyrics to this song come from the 90s hit Don't Walk Away, which was in heavy rotation on my local hipPop radio station back in seventh grade. Couldn't imagine having to dance to this; I'd probably need about five Red Bulls, a deep tissue massage, and a Viagra. On a side note, apparently a guy named 'Sleepy Tom' co-produced this. Oh the irony.

Worth a spin if your crowd's up for a workout - try mixing or mashing up with tracks like How Deep Is Your Love - Calvin Harris + Disciples, Secrets - Tiƫsto and KSHMR, Summer - Calvin Harris, Feel So Close - Calvin Harris, I Cry - Flo Rida, Let's Go - Calvin Harris and NeYo, and We'll Be Coming Back - Calvin Harris.

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

4th of July (Fireworks) - Kelis

tempo: 124 bpm the DJ's take: In terms of energy and key/note progression, I feel like this one could go well with Ne-Yo's Let's Go , Bingo Players' Cry Just A Little , Flo Rida's I Cry , and maybe the Day N Nite - Crookers Remix . Fast and danceable, with a buzzy, hypnotic bass. Definitely worth a spin in a poolside dance mix. download or stream 4th of July (Fireworks): amazon dj cheat sheet playlist
