Signs - Drake

tempo: 107 bpm

bpm range: 105 to 110 bpm

the dj's take: Kind of feels like One Dance in a different key. Unique enough that it should work well on a pop night, and has a pleasant, hypnotic bounce that will find its way into Zumba / dance classes around the world. Expect some requests in the weeks to come.

Some key-compatible tracks from 102 to 105 bpm:

Good Day - Yellow Claw ft. DJ Snake
Call On Me (Ryan Riback Remix) - Starley
No Lie - Sean Paul, Dua Lipa
Rockabye - Clean Bandit, Sean Paul, Anne-Marie
Cool Girl - Tove Lo
The Life - Fifth Harmony
Stick Around - Akon & Matoma
Somebody - Natalie La Rose ft. Jeremih
Whistle - Flo Rida

And between 105 to 110 bpm:

Light It Up (Remix) - Major Lazer
Bang My Head - David Guetta ft. Sia & Fetty Wap
Can't Feel My Face - The Weeknd
This One's For You - David Guetta ft. Zara Larsson

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
