Woman - Kesha ft. The Dap-Kings

tempo: 115 bpm

bpm range: 110 to 115 bpm115 to 120 bpm

the dj's take: Nice to see the Dap-Kings getting some pub on a higher-profile single. I remember listening to their album Dap-Dippin awhile back and feeling like a hiphop beat maker could have a field day with it. Has a throwback vibe that a mainstream crowd might appreciate, sort of like Uptown Funk.

One mix idea for the dj's - try leading in with I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston, and when the key changes, go into this track and follow up with:

Paparazzi - Lady Gaga
Dirty Mind - Flo Rida
Waves - Mr. Probz (Robin Schulz Remix)
Say It Right - Nelly Furtado
Sonnentanz - Klangkarussell ft. Will Heard
Marilyn Monroe - Pharrell

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
