Marmalade - Macklemore ft. Lil Yachty

tempo: 68 bpm

bpm range: 65 bpm to 70 bpm

the dj's take: Sounds like the theme song for a Saturday morning cartoon. Interesting concept for a video; reminds me of Bugsy Malone, where you have kids doing grownup things. Worth a spot in your hiphop rotation, at least in the short-term.

Some key-compatible tracks from 65 to 70 bpm:

Glorious - Macklemore, Skylar Grey
Both - Gucci Mane ft. Drake
Pick Up The Phone - Young Thug, Travis Scott
Private Show - TI ft. Chris Brown
Applause - Lady Gaga

And in the 72-73 bpm range:

Cupid Shuffle - Cupid
Inside Out - The Chainsmokers
GDFR - Flo Rida
At Night - MNEK
Pills & Automobiles - Chris Brown
Another Life - Afrojack, David Guetta

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
