I Fall Apart - Post Malone

tempo: 72 bpm

bpm range: 70 bpm to 75 bpm

the dj's take: Perfect song for a movie montage where the hero gets dumped. Then he's defiant to the tune of Cry Me a River, and finally moves on and puffs out his chest again as No Matter What blasts in the background. Now that's a three song key-compatible mix with some meaning.

Apparently this is experiencing a resurgence over a tweet, so get it in the rotation and drop it at your next dive bar gig. You just might inspire a singalong of broken souls, which you can record and post on social media for likes and minimal revenue.

Some other tracks to mix / mash up with:

Whatcha Say - Jason Derulo
2U - David Guetta, Justin Bieber
HUMBLE. - Kendrick Lamar
Believer - Major Lazer, Showtek
Everyday - A$AP Rocky ft. Rod Stewart
She Knows - NeYo
Ridin' - Chamillionaire

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
