Man of the Woods - Justin Timberlake

tempo: 50 bpm

bpm range: 45 bpm to 50 bpm50 bpm to 55 bpm

the dj's take: The leadoff song in our nine is fine mix:

Half pop, half honky tonk - would be fun to drop this in a place like the Dogwood Cocktail Cabin. I sense a strong influence from Lou Reed's Take A Walk On The Wild Side; someone should do a mashup of that. Or you could go into A Tribe Called Quest's Can I Kick It.

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
