Stars - Marshmello

tempo: 71 bpm

The DJ’s Take: Song #6 in Episode 41 (8:32):

Notice that I didn't play much of this track on its own. That overlap with Rudimental & Major Lazer's Let Me Live and then Wiz Khalifa's iSay is pretty good; acts like a sonic condiment that enhances the flavor of whatever you're listening to.

Some other key-compatible music:

Deuces - Chris Brown
Drunk In Love - Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z
Ni**as in Paris - JAY-Z & Kanye West
Curve - Gucci Mane ft. The Weeknd
Grammys - Drake, Future
Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae) - Silento
Light Years - Yellow Claw
Malibu - Miley Cyrus

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
