Heat Waves - Glass Animals

tempo: 81 bpm

the dj’s take: Song #4 in episode #69 of our mix show (5:10):

Quick mixing tip: this one has a naturally elevated decibel level. Not loud; just rich and heavy. So I dropped the volume on it, just to blend in a bit better with everything else:
I imagine this would be a hit in the bars - chorus that's easy to sing or shout, and a lot of spotify streams.

If you're in the 80 to 85 bpm range, you can mix with:

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
