dj mix/mashup: creepin' x juicy x anti-hero (Metro Boomin, Notorious B.I.G., Taylor Swift)

Made with Logic Pro at 98 bpm Songs used: Creepin' - Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, 21 Savage (instrumental) Anti-Hero (3 am edition) - Taylor Swift [97 bpm] Juicy - The Notorious B.I.G. Anti-Hero (ft. Bleachers) - Taylor Swift Good to see someone putting out an instrumental for a popular song. I used to buy vinyl around 2000-2005, and instrumentals were often a part of the deal. Saves time and gives you a lot more flexibility when you're making a mix or mashup; no unwanted vocals to pick through. Hope it becomes a trend. Unless I'm just totally ignorant of a site or service that offers them to dj's. On a side note, I didn't know there were multiple versions of Anti-Hero out there. Downloaded the version with Bleachers, sounded different enough from the 3 am version, so we made it the de facto 4th song. Came out alright in the end. dj mix/mashup: Rich Flex x I'd Do Anything To Make You Smile x 734 (Drake, 21 Savage, Jack Harlow, Juice WRLD)

Made with Logic Pro at 77 bpm Songs used: Rich Flex - Drake, 21 Savage I'd Do Anything to Make You Smile - Jack Harlow 734 - Juice WRLD Simple enough construction - take the female vocals from the beginning of Rich Flex, the basic guitar riff from 734, and lay them over the backbone of the vocal-free beat in I'd Do Anything to Make You Smile. In fact, there were a couple loop-able instrumental-only sections in I'd Do Anything..., which you'll hear in this little mix/mashup. Some other interesting key- and bpm-compatible songs in this playlist ; I only used 3, but there's definitely more to work with in there.

Jimmy Cooks - Drake ft. 21 Savage

tempo: 78 bpm up until 1:39, 83 bpm after the DJ's take: If I were a streetballer, Jimmy Cooks would be my nom de rue (as opposed to nom de plume ). Lots of no-look passes and killer crossovers in my imaginary youtube mixtape. Could also work as an alternate title for Jimmy Butler's cooking show . I feel like that first 1:39 with the horns could sound cool with T.I.'s Ride Wit Me ; no real percussion-only sections in either one though, as far as I can tell. Maybe we'll take a closer look sometime - stay tuned (but don't hold your breath). download or stream Jimmy Cooks: amazon dj cheat sheet playlist (75 to 80 bpm) , dj cheat sheet playlist (80 to 85 bpm)

Bartier Cardi - Cardi B ft. 21 Savage

tempo: 69 bpm bpm range:   65 bpm  to  70 bpm the dj's take: Parents around the country are hearing this through the closed doors of their kids' bedrooms and wondering where they went wrong. To them, I would say it's not for you. And not for me either. But if you're a hiphop dj spinning for a younger crowd, this should probably be in the rotation. rockstar - Post Malone, 21 Savage

tempo: 80 bpm bpm range: 75 bpm  to  80 bpm ,  80 bpm  to  85 bpm the dj's take: A club-ready hiphop track that's already a big hit - wouldn't be shocked if the remix features Future. On a side note, some excellent POV footage of a stage dive he did while performing the song live: They say the true measure of a man is what he does when he's down. And in this case, looks like he just keeps singing and smiling. Props & fist-bumps to you, sir. Bank Account - 21 Savage

tempo: 75 bpm bpm range: 70 bpm  to  75 bpm ,  75 bpm  to  80 bpm the dj's take: That guitar makes me think of Spain or a spaghetti western. Soothing beat that should work on a hiphop night, at a tapas spot, or in a Bank of America commercial. If you're staying key-compatible, try mixing or mashing up with: Silence - Marshmello, Khalid Rake It Up - Yo Gotti ft. Nicki Minaj Deliver - Fifth Harmony How Low - Ludacris Butterfly Effect - Travis Scott Jumpman - Drake & Future Slippery - Migos ft. Ghostface Killers - 21 Savage, Offset, Metro Boomin, Travis Scott

tempo: 83 bpm bpm range: 80 bpm to 85 bpm the dj's take: As a casual fan of old school kung fu, gotta pay homage to the original Ghostface Killer: Bad ass. But does he really have to do all that tumbling around before killing people? Seems like you'd want to conserve your energy. As for the track, perfectly adequate for a hiphop set. Try mixing with: Countdown - Beyoncé Clique - Kanye West, Jay-Z, Big Sean Criminal - Natti Natasha x Ozuna Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa Learn To Let Go - Kesha So Good - Zara Larsson ft. Ty Dolla $ign On My Mind - Ellie Goulding Bounce - 2 Chainz download or stream Ghostface Killers: amazon itunes

Gucci On My - Mike WiLL Made-It, 21 Savage, YG, Migos

Speed: 70 bpm Recommended bpm range:   65 bpm  to  70 bpm ,  70 bpm  to  75 bpm The DJ's Take: Simple beat is a pretty good reflection of what works in modern hiphop. Solid ensemble of vocalists should keep the young folk engaged. Some nice key-compatible mix options in a couple tempo ranges:
