Don't Wake Me Up - Chris Brown

tempo: 128 bpm bpm range: 125 to 130 bpm The DJ's Take: Simply put, this instrumental is like pouring sugar in your Pixy Stix and consuming it through your nose. But that's what the youth seem to like these days, making this worth a download. That said, two things I can't stand. One, that is way too much autotune in the chorus. Two, is it really ok for Chris Brown to be wearing that outfit in the desert? Definitely hipster lady gear, and no one can convince me otherwise. Dj's - mix with: Chasing The Sun - The Wanted , Scream - Usher , Glad You Came - The Wanted Download the song: Amazon:

We Run The Night - Havana Brown ft. Pitbull

Speed:  127 bpm The DJ's Take: Does it get any more Miami than this? Underfed, stereotypically-edgy female named Havana with generous helpings of autotune, dramatic electro dance beat that steals the spotlight, and Pitbull sleepwalking through another well-paid cameo. Kind of one of those tracks you may consider solid today because it's the age of 130 bpm electro-pop, but no one will remember it at all next year. DJ's - turn on key adjust and mix with: Danza Kuduro - Don Omar , Shut It Down - Pitbull ft. Akon , Feel So Close - Calvin Harris , F*ck You - Ceelo Green , Push It - Salt N Pepa , U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer , Right Round - Flo Rida Download the song: Amazon:

Danza Kuduro - Don Omar

Speed: 130 bpm The DJ's Take: That phone exchange between the two guys at the beginning kind of reminds me of those two foreigners from Family Guy . I half-expected them to break out into an English version of this song, which would've been even more painful. Anyway, this has gotten a good amount of play at local bars, so if someone asks for that 'oy yoy yoy' song, you know what to put on. Definitely worth a download. DJ's - turn on key adjust and mix with: Feel So Close - Calvin Harris , F*ck You - Ceelo Green , Push It - Salt N Pepa , U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer , Right Round - Flo Rida Download the song: Amazon:

She Doesn't Mind - Sean Paul

Speed: 120 bpm The DJ's Take: This has been out for awhile, but I've recently heard this a few times on the radio in Boston. My verdict - another strong effort from Mr. Paul, even if I still can't understand much of what he says. Even if this never catches on chart-wise, get it in your rotation. Good for summer driving with the windows down or a spin at the club. DJ's - mix with: DJ Got Us Falling In Love - Usher , Teenage Dream - Katy Perry Download the song: Amazon:

Turn All The Lights On - T-Pain ft. Ne-Yo

Speed: 127 bpm The DJ's Take: So I've been hearing dj's spinning this a good amount in bars around where I live, and it isn't hard to see why. You got a slick, driving electro dance beat with two recognizable artists. But somehow it isn't getting much reaction from the crowds. Two reasons (in my opinion) - no popular radio saturation, and T-Pain sounds like a crow with an autotune apparatus stuck in its hindquarters. That said, according to Wikipedia , this was big in South Korea back in October 2011, so maybe it's worth a spin if you work at a bar on that fun little stretch on 32nd St. in Manhattan . On a side note, let the title of this track be a warning to all young males out there. Because despite what it says, you should never be in a bar or club of any sort when the lights come on. Because that is when the beasts come out. Download the song: Amazon:

I Can Only Imagine - David Guetta ft. Chris Brown and Lil Wayne

Speed: 128 bpm The DJ's Take: Couple comments on this video. First, is the font on those letters a ripoff of those new Transformers movies or what? Also, Chris Brown - nostril piercings are for attractive and/or edgy young ladies. Not you. As for the track itself, definitely worth a spin or two at least. I think it has the potential to be a club hit. Try turning on key adjust and mixing with Usher's OMG and More . Download the song:
