Noche No Termina - Pitbull

Speed: 126 bpm

The DJ's Take: I knew I should've taken Spanish in high school. In any event, you can't tell me this won't kill at any Mexican or Hispanic-themed event where the tequila is flowing like wine (fyi, Cinco de Mayo is only about 5 months away). Makes me think there's an opportunity for a new genre - let's call it MDM (Mariachi Dance Music).

Two keys here - Pitbull's stock is up once again with Timber, and even I can figure out what that 'Noche No Termina' chorus means. Sure, the trumpets are a little tacky, but isn't that what your crowd wants every once in awhile? Definitely a place in your rotation for this, and it could become a go-to party track in the near future.

tempo: 93 bpm bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm The DJ's Take: Song #6 in our chapter 53 mix (11:38): As we saw with the I Wonder lead-in, that percussion-only intro makes this easier to mix and to play around with. Also melts nicely into Nine Inch Nails' Closer . In fact, even though I know when the transition's coming, it still creeps up on me a bit. Still worth a spot in your prime-time pop rotation. tempo: 92 bpm, switches to 123 bpm halfway through bpm range: 90 to 95 bpm , 120 to 125 bpm the DJ’s take:  A unique track that changes tempo halfway through - saves a dj the effort of having to come up with an energy-accelerating transition (similar deal with Just Can't Get Enough ).
