Telephone - Lady GaGa ft. Beyoncé

tempo: 122 bpm

bpm range: 120 to 125 bpm

the DJ’s take: Song #5 in our '21 and done' mix (starts at 9:13):

Collabos between megastars usually work out, and this one was no exception. Went up to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the easy-to-recognize vocalists and catchy hook should still get a good reaction. Worth a long-term spot in your recent throwback playlist.

On a side note, is there such a thing as unisex Lady Gaga apparel? I feel like it may be ok for a straight guy to wear something like this:

Agree? Disagree? Let me know.

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
