I cannot believe you guys (and girls) are so into that Jason Derulo track. Did you just read my review and decide to visit the page a lot to spite me? That's the only explanation I can come up with. Or maybe it's the whole Friday phenomenon (i.e. so bad you can't turn away).

Seriously though, it's good to see and hear that you're enjoying the blog and making good use of it. Any questions or ideas about music and dj'ing in general, send me an e-mail.

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

DJ mix: session 76 ft. Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm 17:50 of 80s and pop music (with a little hiphop) Check out some more mixes here . This episode was made using this playlist . Tracklist (start times in parentheses): 1. Crazy - Gnarls Barkley 2. Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush (2:35) 3. Rock Steady - The Whispers (4:34) 4. Because of You - Ne-Yo (6:56) 5. I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) - Hall & Oates (10:05) 6. You Owe Me - Nas ft. Ginuwine (12:21) 7. After Hours - The Weeknd (14:54) 8. Down Hill - Drake (15:11)
