Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) - Andy Grammer

Speed: 120 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 115 to 120 bpm, 120 to 125 bpm

The DJ's Take: Wasn't this lingering on the fringes at the bottom of the iTunes charts for awhile? Nice how appearances on Dancing With The Stars and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade can give you a bump into the Top 20; this guy's promotional team seems to know where to put him. And it makes sense; sounds a little like Honey, I'm Good in a different key. Worth a download for the new music file if you spin Top 40 in a casual bar.

Keywise, I think your best bet for a mashup is Fireball - Pitbull. But you can also try mixing with tracks like I Don't Like It, I Love It - Flo Rida ft. Robin Thicke and Verdine White, Love Never Felt So Good - Michael Jackson, Motown Philly - Boyz II Men, Tik Tok - Ke$ha, Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, I Really Like You - Carly Rae Jepsen, and New Romantics - Taylor Swift.

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
