tempo: 80 bpm

bpm range:  75 bpm to 80 bpm80 bpm to 85 bpm

the DJ's take: Cold and detached beat, but definitely something you can nod your head to. Plus, this is a brand new video, so expect it to boost the profile of the song. Lots of key-compatible tracks to mix with in a couple different tempos:

In the 75 to 80 bpm range:

I Need A Doctor - Dr. Dre ft. Eminem
Welcome to Jamrock - Damian Marley
See You Again - Wiz Khalifa
Stick Talk - Future
Knock You Down - Keri Hilson ft. NeYo and Kanye West

In the 80 to 85 bpm range:

Myself - NAV
Bounce - 2 Chainz ft. Lil Wayne
Gotta Lotta - 2 Chainz ft. Lil Wayne
The Heart Wants What It Wants - Selena Gomez
Party - Beyoncé
Come & Get It - Selena Gomez
Started From The Bottom - Drake

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
