Nuh Ready Nuh Ready - Calvin Harris, PARTYNEXTDOOR

tempo: 116 bpm

bpm range: 115 to 120 bpm

the dj's take: Song #4 in our Item 19 mix (5:50):

Goes well with OMI's Cheerleader because of the horns, the island vibe, and transition in key from major to minor. Not as notable as some of Calvin Harris's other singles, but should add a danceable injection of Caribbean flavor into a pop, hiphop or dance set.

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .

dj mix/mashup: 6 man [drake] x devil in a new dress [kanye west, rick ross]

Made with Logic Pro at 82 bpm Clip from mix #69 - two big beats on top of each other, which I could've done a better job adjusting for a cleaner sound. But if you listen to the actual mix, the transition sounds smooth; my goal for this video was to create a loop that feels like the first draft of a mashup/remix. Worth building on for a future project. Key- and bpm-compatible playlist
