No Broken Hearts - Bebe Rexha ft. Nicki MInaj

Speed: 61 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 55 bpm to 60 bpm, 60 bpm to 65 bpm

The DJ's Take: Surprised this hasn't gotten a bigger response out of the gate; maybe it'd do better if it was Nicki Minaj ft. Bebe Rexha. Has that big club-friendly sound that can fill a room. Even if the popularity doesn't pick up, this is still worth a spin in the new music portion of your program.

If you're spinning in the 57 to 60 bpm range, try mixing or mashing up with All Day - Kanye West and Fly Shit Only - Future or half-timing into In The Night - The Weeknd and Adventure of a Lifetime - Coldplay.

If you're in the 60 to 62 bpm range, try half-timing into Adore You - Jasmine Thompson, Prayer In C - Robin Schulz, Safe and Sound - Capital Cities, Bad Romance - Lady Gaga, Don't You Want Me - The Human League, and SexyBack - Justin Timberlake.

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
