Make Me... - Britney Spears ft. G-Eazy

Speed: 62 bpm

Recommended bpm range: 60 bpm to 65 bpm

The DJ's Take: So I thought once you get your own show in Vegas, your career is pretty much over. But apparently with Britney, life goes on after Sin City. This one shot straight into the top 2 on iTunes upon its release, which proves that she still matters. Definitely worth integrating into your summer pop playlist. Try mixing with:

2 Phones - Kevin Gates
Often - The Weeknd
Yoga - Janelle Monae
CoCo - O.T. Genasis
Party Girls - Ludacris ft. Wiz Khalifa
Birthday Sex - Jeremih
Loveeeeeee Song - Rihanna ft. Future

If you need to increase the energy, try half-timing into:

dj mix/mashup: do you think of me [mariah carey] x always forever [bryson tiller]

Links: Made with Logic Pro at 72 bpm Fun little instrumental blend of Bryson Tiller's Always Forever , which we used in mix 66 , and Mariah Carey's Do You Think of Me , which ended up on the cutting room floor. As you can see up top, I broke out the scalpel and did some slicing to make the beats match up better. Final verdict: Worth it. Follow the playlist on djcheatsheet.com

DJ mix/mashup: no can do because of you (ft. Hall & Oates and Ne-Yo)

Made with Logic Pro at 113 bpm A quick clip from the last mix , and one of my favorite transitions in it. Kind of alluring, mysterious; maybe we can make a more fully realized remix/mashup someday. If you're wondering what the image is in the background at the start of the video, those are quahogs and a channeled whelk I dug out of the sand in low tide on a recent beach trip. Pretty solid haul, and good eating for sure. Although I probably should've kept them separate - apparently whelks like to eat the clams .
